Hearty Beef Stew for Cool Fall Evenings
Let yourself feel nurtured with this great hearty stew/soup for those cooler Fall evenings. It is quick, easy and will warm you all over!
1 pound of stew meat (Season to taste with garlic powder and Steak Sauce, optional)
4 potatoes (cubed)
4 carrots (sliced)
2 -4 Sweet Potatoes (cubed)
1/2 head of cabbage (optional)
1 onion (diced)
1 clove of garlic (diced)
1 – 8 oz can Italian Stewed tomatoes
4 – 8oz cans of Beef, Chicken or Vegetable broth
Pour the Beef, Chicken or Vegetable Broth into a Dutch oven sized pot and add the stew meat. Heat on the stove at medium high until the meat is no longer pink inside.
Add the potatoes, carrots, Sweet potatoes, cabbage, onion, garlic and Italian Stewed tomatoes. Cook, stirring occasionally for about 1/2 hour. If you insert a fork into the center of a potato and it slides easily to the center, then the Stoup is ready to eat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve with some fresh French or Garlic bread and enjoy!
